It is my great pleasure to welcome distinguished scholars, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, and young researchers from around the world to the 7th Global Conference on Biomedical Engineering (GCBME 2026), hosted by Taipei Medical University.

         Biomedical engineering plays an increasingly vital role in addressing the complex challenges facing modern healthcare. Through the integration of engineering, medicine, data science, and clinical practice, innovative discoveries can be translated into practical solutions that improve disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and patient care.

         As a university with a comprehensive academic-hospital system encompassing medicine, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, public health, and management, Taipei Medical University has long been committed to promoting interdisciplinary research, clinical translation, and international collaboration. Our affiliated hospital network serves as a vibrant testbed where engineering innovations—from smart medical devices and digital health technologies to AI-assisted diagnostics—are rapidly translated from bench to bedside. We hope that GCBME 2026 will serve as a dynamic platform for participants to exchange knowledge, present cutting-edge research, explore emerging technologies, and build meaningful partnerships across academia, healthcare institutions, government, and industry.

        I particularly look forward to seeing this conference inspire the next generation of biomedical engineers and researchers. Taipei Medical University remains dedicated to nurturing young talent through interdisciplinary training and hands-on clinical exposure, and we believe that platforms such as GCBME are invaluable in connecting bright minds with real-world healthcare challenges.
